Once a district for the working class, The Jordaan District is now a lively and trendy neighborhood in Amsterdam. It is where you will find the iconic canal homes, the Anne Frank House, Noordermarkt, and Lindengracth food markets, restaurants, bars, shops, and many art galleries.
Gouda
Do yourself a favor and spend at least a day in Gouda. It is a beautiful small town about an hour from Amsterdam. We recommend taking a tour to learn the history of the town, see the 15th-century town hall, and of course hear the history of the 17th-century Goudse Waag, once a cheese-weighing station and now home to the Gouda Cheese Museum. Try some of their famous Gouda cheese and then walk around exploring the shops and restaurants.
