Antigua is the perfect island in the Caribbean for couples. With 366 white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, it’s no surprise that Antigua has been voted the “Most Romantic Destination” in the Caribbean by the World Travel Awards 4 years in a row. I visited Antigua with my hubby and I agree 100%! Whether you are looking for a destination for your wedding, honeymoon, or just getaway together as a couple, Antigua has romantic options for you.

1. Antigua for Couples: Swim with the Stingrays

Have you swum with the stingrays? Don’t worry, these stingrays are gentle and friendly. Head to Stin gray City on the north-east coast of Antigua to interact and swim with the rays in their natural environment. Have your photo taken or bring your Go-Pro so you and your significant other have a keepsake of this unique experience.

2. Day Trip to Barbuda

The island of Barbuda is a 90-minute ferry ride or a short flight from Antigua. Spend the day exploring caves, like Darby’s Cave, snorkel the crystal clear blue waters, and sunbathing on gorgeous pink sandy beaches.

One of my favorite excursions to go on with my hubby while on a tropical vacation is a sunset cruise. They are so relaxing, fun, and romantic, especially in a place with incredible sunsets like Antigua. You also may make a few friends! I would recommend enjoying a sunset cruise on the Caribbean side of the island since the waters are calmer than the Atlantic Ocean side.
